Teachers' Guide
The Cameron Balloons Virtual factory is an extensive resource which can be
used by all levels and all abilities of students studying Economics and/or
Business Studies. This version has been specially adapted to cater for the needs
of all students studying the Applied GCSE in Business (Double Award). Cameron
Balloons can be used as one of the two businesses which students need to work on
for Unit 1, Investigating Business, or as the medium-to-large sized business
which they study for Unit 2, People and Business. The financial information will
also be useful for Unit 3, Business Finance.
The teachers' guide has a variety of advice and information to help you to get
the best out of the site. You will find the following on each page:

- Page 4 - 12 - Section by section contents
You can navigate around the pages by using the page numbers at the bottom of
each page. General navigation around the factory is straightforward. To get back to the
home page, simply click on the home icon in the top navigation bar. This bar is
also used to navigate around the four main sections of the site - Factory Floor,
Cameron Balloons, Cost Breakdown and Glossary. Once on the factory floor,
navigation is then done by clicking on the part of the factory plan which you
wish to look at. Under each part of the factory there are a variety of resources
including worksheets, theories about that section and photos and questions.
You may also find the site map helpful in
familiarising yourself with the site.
